With hubby riding his bike to and from work every day of the year (yes, even during the winter and this past year’s Polar Vortex!), it is important that I find healthy snacks for him that provide an abundance of nutrients, vitamins and protein. One of our favorite healthy snack purveyors, KIND, has come out with two new flavors in their nuts and spices bar line. We received the two new flavors in exchange for my honest opinion.
What do I think of the healthy snacks and new flavors from KIND?
I love that I can always count on KIND to provide healthy snacks that are low in sugar, but high in taste! The newest nut and spice bars have just five grams of sugar – considerably lower than many other snack bars on the market. These bars also boast seven grams of fiber and six grams of protein – meaning you will feel satisfied faster and maintain more energy for longer! Hubby loves to choose from the wide variety of healthy snack options from KIND when he is going on long rides!
But what about the new flavors you ask? Well, KIND has rolled out two new flavors: Caramel Almond & Sea Salt and Dark Chocolate Mocha Almond.
Both are created with an almond base that provides a crunchy and flavorful background for the addition of caramel or chocolate! The Dark Chocolate Mocha was hubby’s favorite as it paired perfectly with his afternoon tea for a flavorful pick-me-up to finish the day strong before heading home!
I loved the Caramel Almond & Sea Salt as I really enjoy the juxtaposition of salty and sweet that creates a harmonious dance of flavors in your mouth! When I enjoy a KIND Caramel Almond & Sea Salt bar toward the end of my work day, I am able to stay away from the candy dishes that lurk on many desks near me and stick to a healthier diet plan!
